In October 2025, Spain launched a large-scale recruitment campaign for government institutions. The official bulletin published 90 new competitions at once, opening up access to thousands of job opportunities for those wishing to work in public administration at all levels—from municipalities to central agencies.
The possibility of securing a stable job in the public sector has now become more attainable for many. Depending on the requirements of each competition, positions are open to both future civil servants and those seeking permanent or temporary contracts. The vacancies cover a wide range of professions and fields, allowing nearly everyone to find a suitable option.
To search for current competitions and submit an application, it is sufficient to use the digital portal of the public administration. Here, you can filter openings by region, date, number of positions, type of access, and other criteria. This approach enables candidates to quickly identify vacancies that match their interests and qualifications.
Among the most notable offers are 54 positions for administrative assistants in Madrid (Madrid), with recruitment closing on November 12. There are also 22 vacancies for laboratory operations specialists at the Ministry of Science, and the Ministry of the Interior is seeking 900 assistants for penitentiary institutions across the country. The Ministry of Finance has 123 driver positions available, with applications accepted until November 4. In addition, 29 positions for social workers are open within the Ministry of the Interior.
Such a large-scale update of the public sector workforce is a rare opportunity for those who have been considering a stable job with long-term prospects. In 2025, Spain is making transparency and openness a priority in hiring new employees, which significantly broadens the pool of applicants and increases competition for the most attractive positions.
