There have been changes at the Spanish visa center in the Belarusian capital. Russian citizens can no longer submit applications for a Schengen visa in Minsk. This information appeared on the center’s official page, but no details were provided about the reasons behind this new rule.
New requirements have also been introduced for Belarusian residents: now, an online appointment is mandatory to apply for a visa. Without this, it is impossible to attend the application appointment. This change has already caused some confusion among potential applicants, as the process was previously simpler and took less time.
It’s worth noting that such changes are not limited to the Belarusian capital. Earlier, it was reported that the Estonian visa center in Ivangorod, Russia, has closed. This branch ceased operations back in October last year, further complicating the visa application process for Russians.
Overall, obtaining a Schengen visa is becoming increasingly difficult for Russian citizens. The new restrictions and changes at visa centers are affecting not only Russians, but also residents of other countries wishing to visit Spain. It remains important to follow further updates and adapt to the new application procedures.
