Starbucks Opens Largest Flagship Store in Spain at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium

Nuevo Starbucks en Madrid: café, cócteles y experiencias únicas en el estadio

Madrid is now home to Spain’s largest flagship Starbucks. The new two-story, 900-square-meter store is located inside the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and offers exclusive drinks, a mixology area, and unique cultural events. This is the first Starbucks outlet to open inside a football stadium in Europe.

The largest flagship Starbucks store in Spain has opened in Madrid. The new location is situated right inside the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and is the first Starbucks in Europe to be opened on the grounds of a football stadium. The store covers 900 square meters, with the space divided over two floors offering panoramic views of the Real Madrid football field.

Inside, visitors will find not only the familiar Starbucks menu but also an exclusive area dedicated to the art of making coffee-based cocktails. Here, professional baristas—specially trained and experienced in international championships—will hold masterclasses and introduce guests to new flavor combinations.

The store is designed in the style of the premium Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, of which there are only six worldwide—in Seattle, Shanghai, Milan, New York, Tokyo, and Chicago. Now, Madrid offers a similar experience: unique coffee varieties, limited-edition products, and special tasting programs not available at other Starbucks locations across the country.

The opening of this store marks Starbucks’ largest project in Spain in the history of the brand’s presence on the market. The company has invested significantly in creating a space that stands out from regular coffee shops not just in size, but in service quality and an exclusive product range.

As part of launching its flagship location, Starbucks has hired 65 new coffee specialists, highlighting the company’s commitment to professionalism and delivering a unique customer experience. Across Spain and Portugal, the network now includes over 200 locations, bringing together thousands of employees and building its own coffee community.

The new Starbucks at Santiago Bernabéu offers guests not only beverages, but also cultural events. The venue will host themed gatherings, meetings with artists, and master classes, all aimed at strengthening connections with the local community and promoting the capital’s gastronomic culture. Special attention is given to supporting Spanish artists and creating a space for creative exchange.

The store has seamlessly integrated into the renovated stadium infrastructure, which is becoming Madrid’s new gastronomic hub. It already features venues such as Plaza Mahou—the first microbrewery at a football stadium in Spain—as well as the restaurants Puerta 57, Arzábal Bernabéu, and KO by 99 Sushi Bar. Starbucks adds to this lineup, offering residents and visitors a modern space for meetings, relaxation, and new experiences.

Thus, the opening of the flagship Starbucks at Santiago Bernabéu not only expands the brand’s presence in Spain, but also sets new standards for the coffee industry by combining gastronomy, culture, and innovation in one place.
