Although Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva have yet to decide when they will return, their connection to Spain remains strong thanks to their impressive real estate holdings. The actor fondly recalls the time spent there, calling it wonderful. The couple changed things up, parting with some properties, but their key Spanish assets still require attention and care. Together with their three children, they left the country, leaving some personal belongings in their homes in Madrid and Galicia, where they clearly plan to return.
Settling in Spain, the couple set out to find the perfect place for family life. Their choice landed on a luxurious mansion in La Moraleja, one of Madrid’s most prestigious neighborhoods. The three-thousand-square-meter plot houses an 800-square-meter home. The three-story building features eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, a private gym, a wine cellar, and a heated pool. Four-meter-high walls, a security post, and eight surveillance cameras guarantee total privacy, creating the perfect hideaway for this star family.
In September 2025, their Spanish portfolio expanded with a true architectural gem in Galicia, Alejandra Silva’s homeland. The mansion, known as “Casa Revigón,” was built in the 1920s on Santa Cristina Beach, just eight kilometers from La Coruña, and has direct access to the sea. This home is a striking example of rationalism, designed in 1938 by architect Jordi Tellé, and is recognized as a benchmark of avant-garde design of its era.
Besides their properties in Spain, the family also owns a villa in Mexico, located in the exclusive eco-resort Xala on the Pacific coast. Gere and Silva are investors in this project, which features a spa center, three beach clubs, and vast organic mango plantations. This property is not only a vacation retreat but also generates rental income, managed by a dedicated team.
In the United States, Richard Gere has been actively managing his real estate empire, making profitable deals. At the end of last year, he sold an estate in New Canaan, Connecticut, for almost $11 million. The buyer was a development company that demolished the house for new construction. The deal was clouded by rumors of a “curse” from the previous owner, the daughter of celebrated musician Paul Simon. Earlier, in 2022, the actor let go of a huge ranch near New York for 24 million euros, which he had acquired piece by piece since 1986. He also owns a mansion north of Manhattan and previously owned a complex in the Hamptons, which he unsuccessfully tried to sell for $65 million before eventually settling for $33.75 million.
