The morning broadcast of the popular program “Espejo publico” on Antena 3, aired on October 8, 2025, turned into a true media storm. The guest in the studio was Ada Lyuk, a media personality known as the “voice of Trumpism in Europe.” Her appearance promised an engaging discussion from the start, but no one expected it to end with public accusations of censorship and her removal from the live show.
From the outset, the conversation followed an increasingly tense trajectory. Ada Lyuk shared her personal story of political transformation, describing how her former leftist beliefs shifted to an affinity for the former American president. The host, Susanna Griso, along with other journalists in the studio, actively engaged in debate with the guest, challenging her arguments, especially on the topic of feminism. The verbal exchange grew more intense, and the atmosphere in the studio noticeably heated up.
The climax came about ten minutes after the discussion began. At the moment when Lyuk started citing statistical data, which she claimed proved the low level of safety in modern Spain, Susanna Griso interrupted her and announced the end of the segment. This turn of events outraged the influencer. Later, on social media, she stated that she had essentially been thrown out of the studio, without being given the chance to present her position to viewers. In her view, this was a planned move to silence an inconvenient truth.
The television show quickly responded. Susanna Griso, on her Twitter account (now X), denied the accusations. She explained that the interview was interrupted because they needed to break for commercials, which is standard practice on television. Moreover, she stated that Ada Lyuk was invited to participate in the program again to continue the discussion. However, Lyuk herself saw the incident as a trap. She published clips from the broadcast, adding comments that an entire team of experienced media professionals was pitted against her, a young woman without a political or journalistic background. She also bitterly noted that her opponents’ main argument ended up being to advise her to see a doctor. Concluding her statement, Lyuk said that journalists who, in her opinion, deny the obvious problems visible on the streets of Spanish cities, have ultimately lost the public’s trust.
