Asturias is known for its distinctive landscape, featuring lush forests, mountain rivers, coastal scenery, as well as its Celtic heritage and a history that includes Roman settlement ruins, castles, and monasteries. The region also has a rich tradition of mining and metallurgy, which fostered a thriving crafts and metalworking industry.
