Just 15 kilometers from Pamplona, in the heart of the Atez valley, there is a special retreat hidden away from the city bustle. Nestled beside the Ulzama River and surrounded by ancient beech and oak groves, this complex offers more than just a place to stay—it promises a complete immersion in the atmosphere of rural life and harmony with nature. It’s a space where tranquility, sustainability, and hospitality come together, creating the perfect conditions for a family vacation or a secluded weekend getaway at any time of year.
The idea was brought to life by two local couples who decided to realize the concept of responsible tourism. Their philosophy is rooted in deep respect for the environment and support for the local community. This is reflected in every detail: from the construction materials to the ingredients featured on the restaurant menu. The complex is fully autonomous, using renewable energy and avoiding fossil fuels. Waste is carefully sorted, and organic kitchen scraps are fed to the resident chickens, which provide eco-friendly eggs.
Guests are offered several accommodation options. The most popular are cozy cottages built from certified timber. Each cottage is equipped with a pellet stove for warmth, a fully equipped kitchen, a shower with hydromassage, and a private terrace for evening gatherings. For those seeking more basic options, there are small capsule houses (pods) or spacious campervan pitches with all necessary amenities. The grounds also feature a restaurant serving homemade dishes with farm-fresh products, an outdoor pool, a children’s playground, a barbecue area, a small supermarket, and even a bicycle repair workshop.
There’s no chance of getting bored here for either adults or children. The administration organizes a variety of activities all year round: from creative workshops and music evenings to hiking along scenic routes. Special attention is given to Halloween celebrations. At the end of October, the area transforms into a stage for mystical events: guests can expect a tunnel of horrors, family quests, themed craft workshops, a costume parade, and live music. It’s a great opportunity to spend the autumn holidays in a unique and fun atmosphere.
Staying here is not just about relaxing on the property. The surrounding area is rich in attractions. You can take a walk in the enchanted Orgi forest, visit the Ultzama Mycological Park during mushroom season, drop by the Suberoa farm school, explore the mysterious Mendukilo caves, or discover everything about honey production at the local museum. This project is more than a business—it’s a philosophy of living in harmony with the environment, attracting travelers seeking a comfortable and mindful getaway.
