A double Puerta Grande at Las Ventas sent Antonio Ferrera and Román up the rankings. Cristiano Torres led Zaragoza numerically, while Roca Rey extended his Valencia advantage.

On October 11, 2026, Antonio Ferrera and Román each cut two ears from an Adolfo Martín bull at Las Ventas. Their mano a mano added 3.74 points to the Toroslam rankings.

Ferrera made the weekend's sharpest climb, while Román also moved forward among the leading names. The event was the sixth and penultimate fixture of the Feria de Otoño, bringing together two triumphers from the Feria de San Isidro.

For both Antonio Ferrera and Román, the October 11 triumph was their second Puerta Grande of the 2026 season in Madrid.

Ferrera jumped from 73rd to 24th place and now has 5.61 points overall. Román rose from 19th to 15th with 11.75 points.

That move put Román ahead of José María Manzanares. Fortes also fell behind him, as did El Fandi and Aarón Palacio.

The Madrid afternoon lifted Adolfo Martín as well. The ganadería received four points for the corrida and climbed to 42nd in the ranking. EFE described the livestock as generally difficult, which gave extra weight to Ferrera's technical control and Román's courage. The arena was full and reported “No hay billetes”.

Madrid's decisive turn came after a difficult Saturday.

The second weekend of the Feria de Otoño opened with Álvaro Serrano's demanding solo appearance. The young Madrid novillero suffered a cornada in the third bull and finished without points. He had a chance to score with the first, but no trophy was awarded. Héctor Roberto and Aitor Fernández handled the remaining three animals as sobresalientes. The circumstances were detailed in the earlier Las Ventas report.

The wound to Álvaro Serrano's right thigh had an ascending channel of approximately 20 centimetres. It affected the adductor and posterior thigh muscles, while the femoral artery was bruised but not severed; after surgery in the Las Ventas infirmary, he was transferred to Fraternidad-Muprespa for observation, with recovery estimated at about 20 days.

Medical reports cited by RTVE described Serrano's injury as serious. Surgeon Máximo García Padrós said the novillero required surgery and hospital observation. The Saturday fixture had already been clouded by uncertainty over the rules and the scoring opportunities.

Valencia produced a different result. On October 9, Roca Rey received one ear from each of his two Álvaro Núñez bulls and collected 3.44 points before leaving through the local Puerta Grande. The ganadería took three points and moved into eighth place.

The Peruvian now leads Toroslam alone with 58.83 points. Levante-EMV described his performance as the force that effectively saved the October 9 celebration, despite a corrida with limited reserves of strength.

Tomás Rufo added 1.72 points after taking an ear from the third bull. In Sunday's novillada picada, Juan Alberto Torrijos and Ignacio Garibay each collected 1.72 points after securing a trophy. Their gains were smaller than those recorded in Madrid, but they added further movement across the weekend's standings.

Zaragoza supplied the weekend's biggest individual total outside the Madrid double triumph. Cristiano Torres cut three ears in the first corrida of the Feria del Pilar and gained 4.38 points, enough to place him 23rd in the ranking.

The opening novillada by Los Maños on Saturday was not scored. That left a clear numerical gap between the two Zaragoza fixtures.

Ferrera's result came during an unusually productive season at Las Ventas. Before the mano a mano, TeleMadrid reported that he had already exited through the arena's Puerta Grande four times. The latest two-ear performance added to an already strong Madrid campaign.

The weekend left Toroslam more volatile below its established leader. A successful afternoon was enough to redraw a torero's position, while the opening Zaragoza novillada by Los Maños remained unscored.
