Galloper has drawn its first model names from Spanish geography: Anayet is a 2,574-metre summit in the Aragonese Pyrenees. The pick-up will carry that name, while the off-roader will be called Gredos.
The Gredos name comes from a mountain range in the Sistema Core. It spans Ávila and Cáceres, and reaches Madrid and Salamanca. Its Almanzor peak rises above 2,590 metres. Galloper links Anayet with strength and flexibility, and describes the pick-up concept as suited to work and everyday use. Gredos is intended to evoke mountain travel away from paved roads.
CEO Carlos Lobato says the company wanted a genuine connection with Spain and its geography. Galloper describes itself as 100% Spanish-owned and says the territory deserves to be honoured through its identity.
For buyers, the names offer no indication yet of the vehicles’ equipment or capability. Galloper has released no technical details. It has also withheld prices and arrival dates. A separate account of Spanish brand-launch activity covered Geely’s dealer rollout under Grupo Gamboa.
Galloper is still establishing itself in Spain and Andorra, among other places. The company says Spanish geography will also inform the names of its future models.
