The Lepas L4 EV packs 458 litres of boot space and 34 storage spots into a body under 4.5 metres long. The electric SUV is aimed at rivals in Spain’s compact segment, with a WLTP-certified range of 450 km and charging from 30 to 80 percent in 22 minutes. It is designed for drivers seeking city comfort and longer-distance range.
The L4 EV stands out for its interior layout. It’s 15 centimetres shorter than the L6 EV, but both share a 2,700 mm wheelbase, giving the cabin a roomy feel. The rear bench folds flat, and the boot grows to 1,284 litres with the second row down.
Lepas is launching its Spanish dealer network with 52 points of sale. The network is set to support a full lineup by the end of 2026, with the L8 and L6 joined by the L4.
Under the hood, the L4 EV puts out 218 CV and 275 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and can reach 170 km/h. The 65 kWh LFP battery gives it a range of 450 km. Its 120 kW DC fast charging makes topping up quick. Several independent automotive publications have confirmed these specifications in different markets, backing the L4 EV as a contender among compact electric SUVs.
Inside, the focus is on digital features. The 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch vertical touchscreen both run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. Voice controls and a 50 W cooled wireless phone charger round out a tech setup designed for daily use.
Practicality is basic to the L4 EV. Beyond the boot, its 34 storage spaces around the cabin are designed for everyday items, including water bottles and gadgets, as well as gear for travel. The L4 EV is aimed at city families and road trips alike.
Chery Auto positions Lepas as a premium NEV brand created specifically for export markets, with no domestic Chinese sales. Official communications emphasize an “elegant lifestyle” image alongside the vehicles, with global lifestyle events planned as part of the brand’s international strategy.
The L4 EV rides on the LEXP platform, which combines electrification with connectivity, while safety informs the brand’s “Leopard Aesthetics” design. It is the third model in Lepas’s multi-energy lineup, following the L6 EV and the L8 Súper Híbrido. Europa Press and other industry sources report that the L4 will compete with established compact electric crossovers such as the Chery E5 and Jaecoo J5.
Pricing and final sales terms have not been announced, but the L4 EV is set to reach Spanish dealerships by the end of the year. In a market where boot capacity and range matter, its specifications place it among a wave of new arrivals, including the recent shake-up from other electrified SUVs.
