Lucas González has shown his reconstructed nose on television and used the appearance to respond publicly to Andy Morales. The singer appeared on ¡De viernes! after spending weeks hiding his face behind a mask. His new nose looks straighter and more natural, but the operation has revived a dispute that has followed the former Andy y Lucas duo for months.
The most forceful part of the interview was not cosmetic. González rejected Morales’s description of him as someone with whom a normal conversation was impossible and called the claim deeply unfair. He also made clear that affection for his former colleague no longer means accepting public attacks without defending his own dignity.
The current reconstruction followed an unsuccessful operation in October 2024. Spanish media reported that an infection and deterioration of the tissues were later followed by the nose collapsing.
Morales had made the remarks in an interview with Ana Milán, saying that conversations with González ended in shouting and insults. González said he had not heard those comments before the programme showed them to him. His response was direct: he had repeatedly presented Andy as a friend, while now finding himself publicly criticised from several directions.
He also addressed Morales’s mental health during the final Andy y Lucas tour. González said he did not know that his former partner was receiving psychological help or struggling. Had he known, he said, he would have stayed beside him.
That explanation did not erase the rupture. González recalled that Morales had been welcomed into his home and treated like another son in the family. He now says both men should follow separate paths and that each person is defined by his own actions.
The medical result is still provisional. Reports in El Mundo and other Spanish outlets say the internal retainers were expected to remain until around the end of October, while the final shape may not stabilise for another four to five months.
The nose reveal had been carefully delayed. González returned to Spain on 1 September after spending several weeks in Turkey, where specialists worked to repair damage caused by an earlier operation. According to ABC, the reconstruction involved a doctor from Barcelona and a Turkish surgeon. Until this television appearance, the public had seen him only with a mask, making the surgical result a continuing subject of the celebrity press.
The reconstruction is not yet complete. González is still wearing retainers inside his nostrils to help the nose hold its shape and expects to keep them for another month, with reports placing their planned removal around the end of October. He said the area remains swollen, the tissue still needs to rebuild and a small point must fall away, although he believes the shape is already visible less than twenty days after the procedure. El Mundo reported that the final result should be judged only after the longer healing period.
A doctor from Barcelona supervised the treatment alongside a Turkish surgeon. González said the medical team explained that part of the cartilage and a small piece of rib would be used. Reports also described the procedure as a reconstruction of the cartilage structure and a correction of the nasal septum. He acknowledged that the specialist was expensive but presented the spending as a decision about his health rather than an indulgence.
Divinity traced the medical problem back to the unsuccessful operation in October 2024, after which González reportedly suffered an infection, tissue deterioration and the subsequent collapse of the nose. The family dimension has also been highlighted: González said that the conflict and his physical condition had been difficult for his mother, adding an emotional layer to the medical story.

González’s appearance ties together two developments. The Turkish operation has produced a visible correction that is still healing. His conflict with Andy Morales has moved beyond private disappointment into an open exchange of accusations. González is no longer presenting himself only as the forgiving former bandmate; he is drawing a boundary around his dignity.
