Police took a 32-year-old man into custody in Málaga after he confessed to fatally beating his 52-year-old flatmate. The assault happened in a shared apartment in the Bailén-Miraflores district, where the victim lived with the suspect and two other residents. On Thursday, August 13, one of the flat’s occupants found the victim unresponsive and called Emergencias 112 Andalucía. Medical teams arrived but could not revive him. Later that day, an autopsy at the Instituto de Medicina Legal de Málaga found that the victim had died from multiple traumatic injuries. The suspect told investigators he had struck the victim several times in the days before his death, though the victim had not sought medical attention. Police arrested him on Sunday.
