Más Madrid wants its own political figures to lead the Madrid list. The proposal clashes with Podemos over how the left alliance should choose candidates before Spain's early election on 29 November.

The early election is set for 29 November, but the left alliance still has no agreed Madrid candidate. Más Madrid wants to build the capital's list around its own political figures. Podemos is demanding open primaries first.

The Madrid party's executive adopted that position at a meeting on Monday. According to Europa Press, Más Madrid told the news agency that it should shape the capital's list just as allied parties would organise candidacies in their own territorial strongholds.
