Now he has chosen a vehicle built for space and presence. The all-black G63, with its unmistakable silhouette, is designed for family life in Andorra while delivering the performance expected of the Mercedes-AMG badge. Its 4.0-liter V8 biturbo produces 430 kW (585 metric horsepower) and 850 Nm of torque. The engine works with a 48-volt electrical system, whose integrated starter-generator can add 15 kW (20 horsepower). Mercedes-Benz lists all-wheel lead. The G63 reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km/h; some technical listings put its acceleration time at 4.5 seconds.
Jorge Martín, meanwhile, has marked his return to form and his current lead in the MotoGP World Championship with the purchase of a Lamborghini Urus Performante. Martín’s car collection is less publicized than Espargaró’s, but his grey Urus Performante signals a taste for style and speed. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is listed at 657 horsepower in imperial units, equivalent to about 666 metric horsepower, and delivers 850 Nm of torque. Lamborghini gives the Urus Performante a 0-to-100 km/h time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h. It outpaces the G63 in both acceleration and maximum speed.
The two riders have often shown their camaraderie beyond the MotoGP paddock. They chose to unveil their new vehicles together, a reflection of their friendship and shared enthusiasm for high-performance cars. The dealership, CCA in Andorra, arranged the joint reveal, presenting both SUVs under covers before their new owners unveiled them.
