The Malaga-born singer will represent Omoda in Spain. The partnership will draw on her early ambitions and career choices as the carmaker courts younger buyers.

Mena began her career at ten. On 16 October 2026, Omoda introduced the singer and actress as its new ambassador in Spain. The Malaga-born artist has also built a following in Italy. Omoda framed the collaboration with the slogan «El camino es atreverse» («The path is to dare»), describing it as a music-led cultural partnership tied to mobility, not a campaign for a specific model.

The brand said Mena’s independent choices and willingness to take on challenges helped make her the right fit. Upcoming campaign content will trace her personal story and professional evolution, including the question «Si mi yo de 10 años pudiera verme ahora…» («If my 10-year-old self could see me now…»).

Omoda plans to extend its image beyond cars through music and fashion. The collaboration will unfold in different formats, with interactive events planned over the coming months and into 2027.

The announcement followed a social-media teaser built around a mysterious letter «O» and a suitcase. It also pointed toward Mena.

The announcement concerned a brand partnership, not a vehicle launch. A separate BYD report covered a product-focused story: the Great Tang SUV’s sales and planned European debut.

The partnership lands as Omoda expands its Spanish business and electrified range. Auto Bild reported that the brand had sold about 30,000 cars in Spain by October 2026. In 2024, the Omoda 5 petrol model recorded 7,578 registrations, while the electric version recorded 208. The mix shifted in 2025: the hybrid recorded 9,958 registrations. The electric version logged 715, and the petrol version 592. Omoda told the publication that the petrol version was no longer on sale, with remaining registrations coming from stock vehicles.

At the Paris Motor Show in October 2026, Omoda also presented the Omoda 4 and an updated Omoda 5. Omoda & Jaecoo plans to bring both to Spain in the first half of 2027, with hybrid and fully electric versions. The updated Omoda 5 electric has a 155 kW motor, equivalent to 211 hp, and 288 Nm of torque. Its 61 kWh battery carries a claimed range of up to 430 km under the WLTP cycle.
