Primavera Sound will run in Barcelona from 2 to 6 June 2027. Doechii will make her Spanish debut alongside Phoebe Bridgers, Massive Attack and 148 other acts.
On 2 June 2027, Primavera Sound will begin its 25th anniversary edition in Barcelona with 151 acts on the bill. Doechii will perform in Spain for the first time. Massive Attack will return after rain forced the group to cancel its previous appearance.
Phoebe Bridgers will also headline the festival. Primavera Sound says female artists lead the programme "incontestably".
The main site will again be Parc del Fòrum. The core programme runs from 3 to 5 June, with an opening day on Wednesday 2 June and an electronic closing party on Sunday. More shows at Barcelona venues have yet to be announced.
The 2027 edition will mark Phoebe Bridgers’ first appearance at Primavera Sound, adding another festival debut to the anniversary programme.
The top names span several generations and styles. Fontaines D.C. will share the top tier with Turnstile, Hayley Williams, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, The Chemical Brothers, Bad Gyal, Adéla and Pavement.
Massive Attack and Bad Gyal are both returning after weather disrupted their planned appearances at the previous edition. That history gives the new bill an unusual detail.
Several artists will make their Primavera Sound debut. NME and Consequence reported that the announcement covers pop, indie, electronic music and hardcore instead of centering on one genre.
Massive Attack’s return has added significance: the group is being presented as making its Primavera Sound debut after its earlier planned appearance was cancelled because of rain and adverse weather. The booking turns a past disruption into one of the central narratives of the 25th-anniversary edition.
The lineup also includes The Chemical Brothers, Robyn, FKA Twigs and Hayley Williams. Lola Young, Skrillez, Ninjirachi, Caroline Polachek and the Bleachers, led by Jack Antonoff, are also booked.
Underworld will perform. Anohni will bring a special repertoire built around songs by Lou Reed. EsDeeKid and the Canadian Angine de Poitrine are on the bill too.
Other confirmed performers include Kim Petras, Converge, Bicep, Joy Orbison, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Vashti Bunyan, Guillem Gisbert, Weyes Blood, Julie Baker, Metronomy, Dinosaur Jr, Santiago Motorizado, DIIV, Bradford Cox's Atlas Sound, pablopablo, Metrika, Juana Molina and Mark Fell & RP Boo.
The Barcelona announcement comes during a busy Catalan events calendar. Girona is already at the centre of another major programme, as an earlier festival report noted. Primavera Sound will keep Parc del Fòrum as its main site, while clubs and other venues are expected to host the parallel schedule during festival week.
The festival has not published the full list of those additional city shows. The details are still pending.
Tickets will go on sale in stages. Fans can register on the festival website for the Fan Sale until 7 October. The general pass will cost 295 euros plus distribution fees, while VIP access will cost 545 euros plus distribution fees.
Registered users will receive sale instructions by email. The sale starts on 8 October and will run for 24 hours or until the available tickets sell out.
General pass sales open on 9 October at 11am. The price will be 350 euros plus distribution fees. Residents of the Barcelona metropolitan area can get a 10% discount after completing the relevant form.
The first sale window cuts 55 euros from the standard pass price. That is the financial incentive to register early.
