Inés Martín Alcalde presented five Samsung designs in Madrid as The Frame marked its tenth anniversary. Valero Rioja’s photographs of the city appeared on screens around the venue.
Before Inés Martín Alcalde’s first official runway show began on October 14, 2026, The Frame screens across a palace venue showed large-format photographs of Madrid. Her spring-summer 2027 collection featured 30 looks, including five exclusive designs created with Samsung to mark ten years of the television.
The collaboration, titled The Frame x Martín Alcalde, brings the television’s picture-frame aesthetic into clothing. Valero Rioja’s photographs made the venue’s rooms part of the presentation. One image showed the Monumento a Alfonso XII in El Retiro. The Edificio Metrópolis appeared on another screen. Photographs of the Palacio Real and the Templo de Debod were also displayed. The Puente de Segovia completed the Madrid series. The images were made available for The Frame owners to display on their own televisions.
The photographs turned the palace into part of the show.
The five designs use black and white. Sculptural volume shapes the collection, while prominent accessories draw the eye. Three looks take a bridal direction. One starts with a fitted, off-the-shoulder bodice. Its structured skirt ends in a long train. Another pairs a close-fitting top with a layered, sculptural skirt. The third is an ivory cape with exposed shoulders. It falls in a flowing silhouette and ends in a train.
Tailoring supplies another look: a white double-breasted jacket paired with wide-leg trousers, giving formalwear a more feminine silhouette. The capsule’s only black design is a long, straight-cut dress. Its bodice is asymmetric, with one bare shoulder, and a large black floral headpiece completes the look.
The show also marked the first decade of Martín Alcalde’s professional career, alongside the tenth anniversary of Samsung’s The Frame line. Samsung described the capsule as five looks within the designer’s spring-summer 2027 collection. The five-piece format and Samsung collaboration were covered in related launch coverage.
The partnership extends beyond the runway. Samsung’s The Frame can switch from entertainment to Modo Arte, displaying photographs and artworks when it is not being used for video. Its anti-reflective panel is designed to reduce interference from ambient light. Valero Rioja’s photographs were displayed on The Frame screens at the event and are available for users to show on their own televisions.
