Samsung has opened key SmartTag3 functions to iOS users. The tracker gets longer battery life and more precise nearby searches, but it still does not join Apple's Find My network.
For iPhone owners, the change begins inside SmartThings Find. Compatible iOS devices can now check and share a Galaxy SmartTag3's location. Samsung's Global Newsroom calls this cross-platform support. Apple’s Find My network is still not part of the product.
That limit shapes the new setup. An iPhone user can view the tracker's location and use Buscar cerca through SmartThings Find. A suitcase or another object can be shared between Galaxy and iOS users. Remote detection still relies on Galaxy Find Network and participating Galaxy devices. The Verge independently confirms that iPhone support uses Samsung's network, not Apple's.
