Amazon has launched its new Fire TV Stick 4K in Spain. The compact player costs 35.99 euros during the launch offer and comes with a redesigned remote featuring a configurable button.
Amazon released the new Fire TV Stick 4K in Spain on 30 September 2026. The device is already available at a launch price of 35.99 euros. Variety reports that the release took place on the same day in several markets.
The player comes with a redesigned Fire TV remote. Its compact body also supports Direct Power, which lets the device draw energy from a television's USB port. That can reduce cable clutter.
The promotion will not last. The recommended price is 74.99 euros after the launch offer ends. Amazon is also taking reservations for the remote on its own at 15.99 euros, with the first shipments due at the end of October.
Amazon launched the new Fire TV Stick 4K simultaneously in several markets, including Spain, on 30 September 2026.
In Spain, the player sits between the Fire TV Stick HD and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. The HD model remains the entry-level option for standard streaming. The 4K Max targets users who want more storage and features such as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
Amazon is reshaping the range around clearer entry-level, mid-range and premium positions. The new Fire TV Stick 4K is the middle choice.
The model runs Amazon's Vega operating system instead of Fire OS. It also supports direct use of Alexa+. Services available on the device include Prime Video, Netflix, RTVE Play, Movistar Plus, YouTube, Disney+, Apple TV and HBO Max.
Amazon says the Vega app library is still growing. Android Authority identifies the move from Fire OS to Vega OS as one of the main platform changes. App compatibility may change as the ecosystem develops.
The hardware is smaller than before. Installation behind a television should be easier, and the player is easier to carry between setups.
Direct Power is the practical part.
The device can use the television's USB connection instead of relying on the same cable setup in every installation. The Verge describes this USB-powered design as a real new feature, not just an exterior change.
Alexa+ availability on Fire TV is being introduced in stages rather than appearing immediately on every device and in every country. Tom’s Guide reports that the new Fire TV Stick 4K and some markets are expected to receive the update only at the beginning of 2027.
The remote has changed more than its size suggests. Amazon altered the shape and layout of the controls so users can find the buttons more easily by touch.
Its body is asymmetrical. The upper section is flat, while the lower section is curved. That shape helps users find the correct orientation when they pick it up. They can locate controls without looking directly at the remote.
One button is new to the setup. The star key can open an application or activate a system function such as subtitles or the on-screen magnifier. The remote keeps its built-in television controls for power and volume.
The remote works with Fire TV media players released from 2019 onwards. Amazon has also previewed the Fire TV Remote Plus for 2027.
That model is due in January 2027, according to Tom's Guide. It is expected to add an aluminium casing, backlit buttons and a Find My Remote function. Amazon had not announced its price at the time of the report.
The Alexa+ rollout is also staggered. It will not appear on every Fire TV device or in every country at once. Tom's Guide reports that the new Fire TV Stick 4K and some markets are expected to receive the update only at the beginning of 2027.
The wider range still includes the Fire TV Cube. It remains Amazon's most complete option for users who want advanced voice control and a fuller media experience.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K is not replacing that model. It fills the middle of the range. Its switch to Vega OS also separates it from the previous Fire OS generation and makes future app support an important point for buyers.
For Spanish buyers, the price is the clearest part of the calculation. The launch offer puts the 4K model well below its 74.99-euro recommended price while keeping the redesigned remote in the package.
The smaller body and USB power option are useful changes. They are not just cosmetic.
Amazon has paired a temporary lower price with a remote that offers more control. That gives the Fire TV Stick 4K a clear place in the company's Spanish lineup.
