In Madrid, municipal police conducted a large-scale inspection that uncovered three illegal clinics offering cosmetic procedures and treating skin conditions. These establishments provided visitors with Botox injections and even skin cancer treatments despite lacking licenses and failing to meet basic sanitary standards.
The inspection revealed that the facilities providing these services were in a state of complete unsanitary conditions. In one clinic, procedures were performed literally among insects and dogs, posing a direct threat to clients’ health. Unqualified doctors without proper licenses used dubious medications, and the equipment was never properly sterilized.
As part of the operation, named 'Intruso' (Operación Intruso), 45 shops were also inspected, resulting in the seizure of large amounts of counterfeit goods: 40 boxes of cigarettes, 2,000 toys, and 8,500 masks. However, it was the activities of the clandestine clinics that raised the most concern among law enforcement due to the risks they posed to people’s lives and health.
Many clients chose these salons because of their low prices, unaware of the real dangers involved. In pursuit of savings, they exposed themselves to the risk of infections and severe complications. Such establishments not only break the law but also undermine trust in legitimate medical institutions.
Police remind the public: turning to unverified specialists can lead to irreversible consequences. Authorities are continuing their crackdown on illegal medical practices and urge citizens to be vigilant when choosing clinics and beauty salons.
