Volkswagen Navarra produces the Epiq, making it the first Skoda built in Spain. The factory’s role places it within the Volkswagen Group’s shift towards zero-emission mobility. In a results statement published on 30 October 2026, Škoda said the Epiq is produced in Spain, while its larger Peaq SUV is built at the brand’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.
Škoda said the Epiq and Peaq doubled its electric-vehicle portfolio during 2026, expanding the brand’s overall range to 14 model series. The Epiq is also part of Volkswagen Group’s Electric Urban Car Family, alongside the Volkswagen ID. Polo and ID. Cross. CUPRA Raval is also part of the family. Volkswagen Group reported 150,000 orders for the four models shortly after their debut. The group said the cars were jointly developed and are produced under SEAT and CUPRA project leadership in Martorell and Pamplona, Spain.
At 4.17 metres long, the Epiq is designed for urban use as well as longer journeys. Its 475-litre boot is described as the largest in its category and expands to 1,345 litres with the rear seats folded.
The Epiq 40 uses an LFP battery with 38.5kWh gross capacity and 37kWh net. Its 99kW motor produces 135hp, while the stated WLTP range is up to 324km. The Epiq 55 has a 55kWh battery, with 52kWh net, and a 155kW motor rated at 210hp; its WLTP range reaches 437km.
That battery-electric approach contrasts with the Bugatti proposal, which centred on a manual, non-electrified V16. The Epiq’s practical details include a 25-litre front boot and a cable-cleaning tool. It also supports bidirectional charging.
The range is listed with Urban and Selection trims, plus First Edition and Sportline. Sportline adds Matrix LED headlights and LED rear lights; it also gets an illuminated grille, electrically adjustable sports seats and a heated three-spoke steering wheel with paddles.
Volkswagen Group estimates that its jointly developed electric urban-car models could generate around €600 million in synergy potential over their entire product life cycle. The figure applies to the group programme as a whole.
The stated starting price is €18,500 for the Epiq 40 Urban. The source does not specify whether that figure depends on finance, a trade-in or subsidies.
