Tamara Falcó used Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid to speak openly about changes in her life, including her body and family, as well as the realities of being in the spotlight. The Marchioness of Griñón, long a familiar face in Spanish society, arrived with her usual poise and plenty to discuss beyond style.
After six years working with Pedro del Hierro, Falcó seemed energized as she helped launch this year’s Fashion Week. The event broke with tradition, moving from its usual venue to several well-known spots around Madrid, a change that in some ways mirrors Tamara’s own evolution. She described how travel shapes her creative process, especially a recent trip to Japan with her husband, Íñigo Onieva. "My journeys always inspire me. In Japan, everything moves slowly and has a spiritual side," she said. These experiences have influenced her work for Pedro del Hierro. Official reports say the brand opened Fashion Week on September 14, 2026, with the Hanami collection, inspired by Japanese cherry blossom viewing and focused on slowing down and taking digital breaks, with "quiet luxury" as a guiding idea.
The Pedro del Hierro show took place at the Invernadero del Palacio de Cristal de Arganzuela, a impressive departure from the usual MBFW Madrid venues.
But it was Tamara’s honesty about her changing body that stood out. "I would love to be a fashion icon, but what really matters is that I've changed sizes a lot and always tried to look my best. That has helped many real women feel comfortable," she said. She compared her approach to style with her mother Isabel Preysler’s: "My mother is much more reserved. Maybe it's the influence of social media, but I'm more open. I love trends, but only if they suit me." Tamara attended as both the face and co-creator of the TFP by Tamara Falcó para Pedro del Hierro line. Fashion media report that four looks from her collection are included in the brand’s new season.
This year, Tamara attended the event without Íñigo Onieva, who was busy with Formula 1 and Fashion Week projects. Multiple reports attributed his absence to work. Tamara also said she took a break from social media over the summer, choosing rest and privacy over constant updates. "I've decided to take a break from networks. It's been very peaceful," she said. Family remains central for Tamara. Her brother, Julio Iglesias Jr., is back in Spain for three months, bringing the family together. "Yesterday we all had lunch together. Tamara Falcó wore a burgundy suit from her own Pedro del Hierro collection at the event. Fashion outlets reported that the jacket was priced at around 289 € and the trousers at 189 €. The shirt cost 199 €. Some items were already available at a discount during the show period.
Another change is on the way: Tamara’s sister-in-law, Alejandra Onieva, is expecting her first child with actor Jesse Williams. The couple met while filming an Italian series and are now preparing for their baby. "She is very happy," Tamara said, adding that Jesse has already grown fond of Spain during his visits.
