Buse began his run in qualifying as the No. 62 in the PIF ATP Rankings, confidently defeating two opponents: first, he routed local wildcard Nils McDonald (6-2, 6-0), then left no chance for Frenchman Hugo Gaston (6-1, 6-2). In the main draw, the Peruvian continued to impress: in the first round, he knocked out fourth seed and defending champion Flavio Cobolli (6-2, 7-5), then easily defeated Czech Jakub Mensik (6-0, 6-3), both ranked in the world top 30.
In the quarterfinals, Buse endured the toughest match of the week against Hugo Humbert (6-3, 5-7, 6-3), where he lost a set for the first time in the tournament.
