Trail bikes recorded 33,489 Spanish registrations through August 2026, up 39.1% year on year. Chinese brands supplied six of the ten best-sellers, while Voge’s DS 800 Rally became Spain’s top-selling geared motorcycle.
A single model has already cleared 4,000 registrations as trail motorcycles gain ground across Spain.
Dealers registered 33,489 trail motorcycles through August 2026, a 39.1% rise on the same period a year earlier. The category now accounts for 38.8% of all geared motorcycles sold in Spain.
Six of the ten best-selling trail models come from Chinese brands, which together account for 67% of the Top 10’s volume. Add the Rieju 307, manufactured in Asia, and the count rises to seven.
Elsewhere in Spain’s vehicle market, Renault’s Palencia proposal concerns possible future production. Trail-bike registrations, by contrast, are already on the books.
Voge puts two models near the top
The Voge DS 800 Rally leads the trail-bike market and is Spain’s best-selling geared motorcycle, with more than 4,000 registrations. Its recommended price is €7,888. The 798 cc parallel twin produces 95 CV and 81 Nm. Voge lists a dry weight of 210 kg and a 24-litre tank.
KYB adjustable suspension comes standard, along with Nissin radial brakes. The wheels are tubeless and spoked. A 7-inch vertical TFT screen sits alongside a front HD camera, while TPMS is also fitted. Heated grips and a heated seat are included. The claimed range exceeds 400 km.
ElDesmarque’s 10 October 2026 report also lists free insurance with the €7,888 price. It gives the same engine size, 798 cc, and the same output figures: 95 CV and 81 Nm of torque.
The larger Voge 900 DSX has passed 2,700 registrations after leading the geared-bike market the previous year. In Euro 5+ form, it costs €9,192. Its 895 cc twin produces 95 CV and 95 Nm, and uses Bosch six-axis IMU technology. Cornering ABS and blind-spot radar are standard. Cruise control is included too.
Fourth among trail bikes, the Voge 625 DSX has more than 1,800 registrations. It costs €6,592 and comes with a five-year warranty. Its 581 cc twin delivers 63 CV, and the bike is compatible with the A2 licence. The 17.6-litre tank gives a stated range of about 350 km.
Japanese rivals and a lighter Kove
Yamaha’s Ténéré 700 is the first Japanese model in the Top 5, with more than 1,500 registrations. The standard version costs €11,199; the World Raid is €13,199. The CP2 engine produces 73.4 CV. On the World Raid, twin aluminium tanks hold 23 litres and provide a stated range of up to 500 km.
The World Raid gets ride-by-wire with Sport and Explorer maps. It also has a six-axis IMU, cruise control and a 6.3-inch TFT display with Raid mode. Suspension travel measures 230 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear.
Honda’s XL750 Transalp is close behind the Yamaha, also with more than 1,500 registrations, and holds sixth place. The €9,990 model uses a 755 cc parallel twin producing 91.8/92 CV and 75 Nm. Honda E-Clutch is available without a tariff surcharge. Riders can start, stop and shift without operating the clutch lever, while gear changes remain controlled by the foot pedal.
Kove’s 800X Pro has exceeded 1,400 registrations, and the more road-focused 800X GT adds another option to the range. Both cost €7,999. Their 799 cc twin makes 94.5/95 CV. The Pro weighs 173 kg dry, or 195 kg in running order.
The Pro’s 22-litre tank is paired with KYB suspension. Bosch cornering ABS and traction control are also fitted.
BMW climbs when variants are combined
The BMW R 1300 GS ranks eighth as an individual model. More than 1,300 standard bikes and over 900 Adventure versions push the two variants above 2,000 registrations together. The Pure starts at €21,290; the recommended tariff price is €22,230.
Its 1,300 cc boxer produces 145 CV and 149 Nm. BMW’s adaptive DSA suspension can lower the bike automatically from 25 km/h. Standard equipment includes Matrix LED lighting and Full Integral ABS Pro. The bike also has four riding modes.
In Europe, the DS 800 Rally competes with the Yamaha Ténéré 700. French publication Caradisiac also names the Honda Transalp 750 and Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE. Its report mentions the Aprilia Tuareg and KTM 790 Adventure as rivals. It lists 94 hp and 81 Nm, and announced a €1,000 French discount. That cut the price from €8,995 to €7,995 through 30 November 2026.
Mitteldeutsche Zeitung’s specification for the DS 800X Rally lists a six-speed gearbox and 220 mm of ground clearance. Suspension travel is 207 mm at the front and about 190 mm at the rear. The bike has 21/18-inch wheels and an 860 mm seat height.
The publication gives a running weight of 227 kg and a top speed of 210 km/h. It also listed a German offer of €7,999 instead of €8,999 through 30 November 2026.
