Pokémon GO’s October 2026 Community Day will focus on Zorua, the Fox Pokémon. On October 10, from 14:00 to 17:00 local time, Zorua will appear more often in the wild, with a higher chance of finding its shiny version or one with a special background. Players who evolve Zorua during the event or up to four hours afterward will get a Zoroark that knows the fast attack Golpe Bajo (Sucker Punch), a move not usually available to this evolution. The move appears in the official announcement and has also been reported by several gaming news outlets.
The event will feature the standard Unova-region Zorua, not the Hisuian form, as multiple sources analyzing the announcement have clarified.
A paid Special Research quest tied to Zorua will be available for 1.99 USD. Completing it gives players three Zorua encounters with unique backgrounds, plus more Zorua encounters. Rewards also include a premium battle pass and a Rare Candy ++, along with other items. Players can gift the research to friends at Great Friendship level or higher, unless the recipient has already bought or received the ticket.
Some event bonuses will last until 21:00 local time. Catching Pokémon will earn triple XP, while candy will be doubled. Trainers above level 31 will also have a higher chance of getting Candy ++. Incense, except Daily Adventure Incense, will last three hours, while Lure Modules will stay active for one hour; both will increase the odds of attracting Zorua. Players can make an extra special trade, for a maximum of two per day, and get a 50% reduction in Stardust costs for trades. These extended bonuses are intended to help players who can’t join during the basic event window.
Field research tasks themed around the event will offer rewards such as Stardust and Ultra Balls, along with more Zorua encounters. Some tasks may lead to special-background Zorua if players are lucky. The Community Day Ultra Special Pack will also be available for 1.99 USD and bundles the event ticket with five Ultra Balls.
Before the official announcement, Zorua was already the subject of dataminer speculation and had appeared in seasonal promotional materials, building community anticipation for its selection as the October Community Day Pokémon.
