The move to Real Madrid was a logical step in his development. González notes that he had offers from other Spanish clubs as well, but chose the capital team, believing it was the best place for his growth. Within the team, Cristo felt supported, especially by the Spanish players. However, despite strong performances for Castilla, he was unable to secure a spot in the main squad. In his view, he just needed a bit more luck to get the chance to become the third striker among the starters. Management decisions were not in his favor, and he was forced to look for new opportunities.
González was particularly impressed by his encounters with football legends. Roberto Carlos frequently attended youth team training sessions, and words of support from Ronaldo became a true recognition of Cristo’s talent.
