The Formula 1 race weekend continues in Singapore, already bringing plenty of surprises for fans. On the Marina Bay street circuit, teams have completed the first practice sessions, with key stages still ahead: the final practice and qualifying.
Spanish drivers are once again in the spotlight. Fernando Alonso managed to set the fastest time in the first practice, beating his closest rivals by several tenths of a second. His quick lap surprised many, while Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen finished the session in second and third places, respectively. For Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, the session results became a cause for concern: the title fight may go beyond a simple duel.
However, by the end of the day, the situation had changed. The championship leader reaffirmed his status as the favorite by recording the fastest time of the weekend. He was followed by Ayzam Hajar and the consistently quick Verstappen. Alonso finished the day in fourth position, just 0.02 seconds behind the world champion, dispelling doubts about his form. Carlos Sainz, who took eighth place, also demonstrated solid pace, raising hopes for a successful qualifying performance and a return to the points zone.
The schedule for the second day remains unchanged: the third practice will take place in the morning, followed by qualifying in the afternoon to determine the starting grid for Sunday’s race.
The third free practice session (FP3) starts at 11:30 and will end at 12:30 local time. Qualifying begins at 15:00. All events can be watched on DAZN F1 and Movistar+ channels, as well as followed on major sports portals and radio stations.
The Singapore Grand Prix is traditionally considered one of the most spectacular races of the season due to the unique atmosphere of the night city and the challenging track layout. Spanish fans eagerly await performances from their favorites, hoping for strong results from Alonso and Sainz in the decisive sessions of the weekend.
