In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to find classic all-wheel-drive SUVs on the Spanish market. Many manufacturers have either discontinued such models or shifted their focus toward crossovers. Additionally, the prices of new models have risen significantly, prompting car enthusiasts to look for alternatives among used vehicles.
One of the most sought-after models among genuine SUV enthusiasts remains the Toyota Land Cruiser. This vehicle has long earned a reputation for reliability and durability, and its popularity on the used market continues to grow. However, the price of pre-owned units depends on a range of factors, including year of manufacture, mileage, condition, and specific series.
The 150 Series, introduced in 2009 and produced until 2024, consists of relatively recent vehicles on the market. The most affordable options in this series are priced around €28,000–€30,000, but these tend to be cars with high mileage and more than ten years of age. At the same time, there are listings for €50,000 for newer or well-preserved examples.
The 120 Series, produced from 2002 to 2009, is considered one of the most widespread and recognizable. An analysis of listings on popular Spanish car sales platforms shows that the average price for such Land Cruisers ranges from €18,000 to €22,000. The final price depends on technical condition and mileage.
An even earlier 90 series, introduced in 1996 and produced until 2002, is gradually gaining collectible status. As early as next year, the first units will be eligible for classification as historic vehicles. On specialized websites, such cars are generally valued between 11,000 and 14,000 euros.
For a Land Cruiser to be recognized as a historic vehicle, it must meet certain requirements. According to regulations that came into effect in October 2024, the model must have been produced or first registered at least 30 years ago. Additionally, it is important that the key characteristics and components remain original, with no major modifications. Only if these conditions are met can the owner expect to receive the corresponding status and related benefits.
