Singapore Grand Prix Practice Times and Where to Watch Alonso and Sainz Race

Formula 1 in Singapore: Alonso and Sainz Prepare for One of the Toughest Races of the Season

One of the most challenging Formula 1 stages kicks off in Singapore. Two practice sessions will take place on the city circuit. Broadcasts are available on DAZN F1 and Movistar+. Details on the schedule and participants in our coverage.

After a short break, Formula 1 returns to the track, this time in Singapore. The Marina Bay street circuit is ready to welcome the drivers for the start of an action-packed race weekend. On the first day, teams will focus on two free practice sessions to collect as much data as possible ahead of the unpredictable weather conditions that traditionally accompany this round.

Max Verstappen heads into the Singapore round in excellent form. In recent races, he has confidently led the field, securing victories in Monza and Baku, where he achieved another ‘Grand Slam.’ McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are seeking redemption after their disappointment in Azerbaijan, as Singapore’s track characteristics—with its many slow and medium corners—could work in their favor. Despite changes in individual race results, the overall standings have remained almost unchanged: Verstappen has extended his lead over George Russell, while the fight for third place continues to intensify. McLaren also maintains its advantage in the team standings, and Kimi Antonelli has once again surpassed Alex Albon in the individual rankings.

Fernando Alonso finished the previous round without points, crossing the line in fifteenth and failing to realize the potential of his AMR25 car. Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz managed to reach the third step of the podium, ending a string of poor performances and achieving his best result in recent times.

Live broadcasts of the Singapore Grand Prix practice sessions are available on DAZN F1 and Movistar+ platforms. You can also follow the training sessions on the MARCA.com website and on MARCA radio.

The schedule for free practice sessions at the Marina Bay Circuit in 2025 is as follows: the first session will take place from 11:30 to 12:30, and the second from 15:00 to 16:00 local time. The time difference with Singapore is six hours, so the timetable remains familiar for European fans.

On the first day, it will become clear what Aston Martin and Williams are capable of in Singapore’s heat and humidity. The results of the practice sessions will help teams adjust their strategies for the remainder of the race weekend.
