On Tuesday evening, a tragedy unfolded on a section of the M-407 highway passing through Leganés: a young man riding a motorcycle died after a serious accident. The incident occurred at around 9:15 pm at the 0.900 kilometer mark. According to preliminary reports, the rider lost control, causing the vehicle to end up in the roadway.
When emergency services arrived at the scene, the victim was already unconscious. Paramedics found he had suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and cardiac arrest. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, they were unable to revive the young man—he was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation, it was determined that no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The motorcyclist was riding alone, and loss of control appears to be the sole cause of the tragedy. Officers from the Guardia Civil have launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Traffic on the affected section of the highway was temporarily restricted to allow for the necessary investigation and rescue operations. Drivers on the M-407 that evening had to find alternative routes to avoid congestion and not interfere with the work of emergency personnel.
The deceased was a local resident and, according to witnesses, often traveled this road. Locals note that the stretch of highway where the accident occurred is not considered particularly dangerous, but even here, tragic incidents can happen if one loses focus or exceeds the speed limit.
