Aragón’s large-scale Volveremos program supporting local shops is coming to an end, leaving residents with just a few days to spend their accumulated bonuses. Across the region, users still have more than 2.6 million euros in their accounts, but these funds will be available only until the end of December. After the 31st, all unused bonuses will disappear from digital wallets and can no longer be redeemed.
This year, 128,000 families took part in the program, making purchases at 3,300 participating stores. In total, 62 municipalities were involved in the initiative, and total sales during the campaign exceeded 92 million euros—22 million more than the previous year. The program allowed up to half of each purchase to be paid with bonuses earned from previous spending.
The final countdown
Of the remaining balance, 53% comes from funds allocated by the government of Aragón—amounting to 1.38 million euros. The remaining 47%—1.23 million euros—comes from municipal budgets of towns that participated in the program. It’s important to remember that bonuses can only be used at stores officially registered with Volveremos. During the New Year holidays, when many residents travel between cities, it’s best to check in advance where you can spend your remaining bonuses.
In Zaragoza, residents still have about 2.1 million euros remaining in their accounts: one million comes from municipal funds and 1.1 million from the regional government. More than 107,000 residents of the Aragonese capital used the program in 2025, making purchases at 2,220 shops across the city.
How the program works
Volveremos was created to support small businesses and boost consumer activity. For every purchase made at participating stores, customers earned bonuses which could be used to cover up to 50% of their next purchase. This year, not only municipalities but also private companies joined the program, expanding its reach and increasing the number of participants.
The system operates through a dedicated app that displays the available balance. Users can see how much they have left and which stores accept the bonuses. It’s important to note that all unused bonuses will be automatically canceled after December 31.
Geography and scope
A total of 62 municipalities across the region participated in the campaign. This made it possible to reach not only major cities but also small towns and villages. As a result, support reached various corners of Aragon and brought local shops additional customers.
Overall, Volveremos has become one of the most prominent small business support initiatives in the region in recent years. The growth in sales and the rise in participants demonstrate the high demand for such measures among both residents and entrepreneurs.
Last chance
Residents of Aragón should hurry: there is less and less time left to use your bonuses. After the program ends, it will be impossible to recover any unused funds. Organizers remind you: check your balance in the app and review the list of stores where you can spend your bonuses before the end of December.
