The first ideological convention of the party’s youth wing has concluded in Madrid, where Isabel Díaz Ayuso delivered a sharp critique of the Prime Minister. In her view, the current political course is deepening divisions within society and creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the most turbulent chapters in the country’s history. She believes the consequences of today’s decisions will be felt for a long time, and that it will not be easy to correct them.
The regional leader emphasized that in the past, Spain shared a common vision for the country’s development, uniting various political forces. Now, she said, that consensus has been lost, and instead of dialogue, there’s growing hostility between different groups. She is particularly concerned that young people are becoming hostages of this situation, facing limited opportunities and rising social tensions.
Ayuso voiced concerns that the government’s current policies are leaving future generations with a heavy burden. She argued that excessive spending and mounting debt obligations restrict young people’s freedom of choice, forcing them to pay for decisions made today. In her opinion, this will lead to a lower quality of life and fewer opportunities for youth.
The President of Madrid paid special attention to recent incidents at universities, where students found themselves on opposing sides due to political disagreements. She noted that such conflicts had not been seen in the country for many years and expressed regret that educational institutions are becoming arenas for ideological clashes. In her view, these trends are dangerous for the country’s future and require immediate attention.
In concluding her speech, Ayuso urged young people not to remain indifferent to what is happening and to actively participate in society. She believes that only engagement and responsibility will help overcome current difficulties and restore the country’s stability. According to her, Spain faces serious challenges ahead, and only joint efforts can enable society to cope with the challenges posed by the current political situation.
