Starting November 9, Turin hosts one of the most anticipated events in the tennis world — the Nitto ATP Finals. The tournament brings together the top eight players of the season to crown the year’s strongest. Spain will be represented by Carlos Alcaraz, who is aiming to reclaim his spot at the top of the world rankings after a recent setback at the Paris tournament.
The competition takes place at the Inalpi Arena, with participants split into two groups. In the first group are Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur. The second group includes Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, and one of two contenders: Félix Auger-Aliassime or Lorenzo Musetti. Italian player Musetti still has a chance to make the final eight if he finishes strongly at the tournament in Athens.
The tournament draw follows a round-robin format: each player faces every rival in their group. The top two from each group advance to the semifinals, where they battle for a place in the final. Group stage matches run from November 9 to 14, with two matches each day: the daytime match starts at 14:00, while the evening match kicks off no earlier than 20:30. Semifinals are set for November 15, and the championship match will be held on November 16 at 18:00.
Carlos Alcaraz’s first match is scheduled for November 9 at 14:00. He will face Alex de Minaur, currently ranked seventh in the ATP standings. Later, the Spaniard will go up against Taylor Fritz and Novak Djokovic — both seen as main favorites for the tournament.
Alongside the singles, the men’s doubles event is also taking place. Spanish player Marcel Granollers, together with Argentine Horacio Zeballos, are also in the running for the title. Their first match is scheduled for the morning of November 9 against the German duo Tim Pütz and Kevin Krawietz.
All key Nitto ATP Finals matches can be watched live on the Movistar Plus+ platform. A subscription allows you to follow the action without long-term commitments and gives the opportunity to watch streams on multiple devices at the same time. In addition, after the tournament concludes, the Davis Cup will also be available on this platform.
The tournament in Turin traditionally draws fans from around the world. For Carlos Alcaraz, it’s a chance not only to reclaim the No. 1 ranking, but also to end the season on a high note. Spanish tennis fans are eagerly awaiting his performance and hoping to see him back at the top.
