Spanish actress Elisa Mouliaá has officially filed a lawsuit demanding that former deputy Íñigo Errejón be sentenced to three years in prison. According to Mouliaá, the case concerns repeated incidents of sexual harassment, which she claims occurred in October 2021. In her statement, the actress is also seeking €30,000 in moral damages from the accused.
In addition to the main charge, Mouliaá is insisting on the initiation of separate civil proceedings regarding Errejón’s financial liability. She is asking the court to require him to post a €30,000 bond and, if he refuses, to investigate his financial situation to enable possible recovery of the funds.
Prosecution’s demands
The indictment submitted to the court details the circumstances of the alleged incidents. Mouliaá claims that Errejón’s actions caused her significant emotional distress and affected both her professional and personal life. In her view, only real punishment and monetary compensation can restore justice.
The actress emphasizes that her demands are not limited to criminal prosecution alone. She insists that the court should consider full compensation for damages and ensure the enforcement of any potential ruling by seizing the accused’s assets if necessary.
Defense’s position
Íñigo Errejón himself categorically denies all accusations. His lawyers have filed an appeal against the decision to initiate criminal proceedings, stating that the case files lack any evidence of his guilt. According to the defense, the expert analyses and witness testimonies conducted during the investigation do not support Muliaa’s version, but rather indicate there is no evidence of a crime.
Errejón’s legal team insists that the actress’s allegations are fabricated and not supported by either facts or objective data. They are demanding that the criminal proceedings be dropped and all suspicions against their client dismissed.
Further developments in the case
The court case promises to be one of the most talked-about in Spain. If Muliaa’s claims are upheld, Errejón faces not only prison time but also significant financial losses. At the same time, the defense intends to use every possible legal avenue to refute the charges and defend the former politician’s reputation.
It remains unclear when the main hearing will begin, but both sides have already declared they are prepared to defend their positions to the end. Public interest in the case remains high, with new details and comments from those involved regularly appearing in the press.
