A musical weekend in Madrid will impress even the most discerning – don’t miss performances by top stars

In October, Madrid becomes the stage for a major celebration. The city is preparing a vibrant cultural program with free concerts. Find out where and when you can listen to renowned performers.

In October 2025, Madrid once again becomes the center of large-scale celebrations for the Day of the Spanish Nation. From October 3 to 12, residents and visitors of the capital can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Latin American and Spanish culture. This year, organizers have focused on diversity: the program features more than 150 events, and the music lineup promises to be especially vibrant.

The main theme of the festival is “There’s a place for every accent in Madrid.” The guest of honor is Argentina, reflected in the lineup of artists. From the very first days, world-class stars have graced the city’s stages, with a busy weekend ahead featuring free concerts at the most iconic venues.

On Friday, October 10, the musical marathon starts at noon at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, where classics will be performed by Laia Falcón and Alberto Rosado. In the evening, contemporary artists take over: music from Spain, Argentina, Cuba, and Mexico will be heard at Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Plaza de España, and other locations. Among the participants are Babasónicos, Miranda!, Rita Payés, Muerdo, Trío Valdés Legacy, Silvana Estrada, and Dillom. On the same day, the group Niña Polaca will perform at Puente del Rey.

Saturday, October 11, promises to be just as eventful. From noon, stages across the city will host El Twanguero, Eliades Ochoa, Gerardo Morán, and in the evening—Bareto, Orquesta Aragón, Kevin Johansen with The Nada, María José Llergo, Alizzz, and Karina La Princesita. The Paco Rabal cultural center and La Abadía theater will also hold performances, some of which require advance registration.

On Sunday, October 12, the festive program will conclude with a parade of brass bands from various regional cities, as well as concerts by Mocedades and Los Panchos, Sonora Ponceña, Naiza, Bomba Estéreo, and other groups. Music will be performed at Plaza Mayor and Plaza de España, as well as at Puerta del Sol and in cultural centers. Most events are free to attend, but keep in mind the seating capacity is limited.

The full list of events is available on the official website of the Madrid government. Organizers recommend planning your visit in advance so you don’t miss performances by your favorite artists. The festival promises unforgettable experiences and a chance to discover the cultural richness of the Spanish-speaking world.
