A new stage in affordable housing development
A major project to build 50 price-capped apartments is starting in the Los Ahijones area in southeastern Madrid. The financing is provided by Avalmadrid, CaixaBank, and Bencatel Horizon SCM, with management by Asentis. This initiative aims to expand the supply of affordable housing for the city’s residents.
Residential complex specifications
The project provides for a five-story building with two underground levels. The complex will include 50 storage rooms, 87 parking spaces, and four commercial units. The apartments are intended for families whose income does not exceed 7.5 times the IPREM index, increasing the range of housing options for those seeking homes in Madrid’s rapidly developing districts.
Public-private sector cooperation
This project is being implemented under an agreement between Avalmadrid and the government of the Madrid Autonomous Community. As part of this partnership, up to 8,000 price-capped apartments are planned. This approach helps address pressing social issues related to the shortage of affordable housing.
Deal participants and their statements
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of Avalmadrid, CaixaBank, and Asentis. Company executives highlighted the importance of joint efforts to develop the affordable housing market. According to them, such projects not only drive economic growth but also improve quality of life for city residents.
Impact on the urban environment
The implementation of this project strengthens Madrid’s position as a city focused on sustainable development. The new construction meets modern standards and contributes to creating a comfortable urban environment. Increasing the number of affordable apartments is an important step in addressing housing issues for many families.
