Stars of the film ‘Armistice’ discuss filming and life in Madrid on La revuelta show

Unexpected revelations from actors Arón Piper and Fernando Valdivielso on David Broncano's show

The popular evening show is once again in the spotlight. Well-known actors appeared in the studio. They announced their new project. The conversation took an unexpected turn.

The Tuesday evening broadcast of La revuelta once again showcased host David Broncano’s unique style, skillfully blending humor with casual conversation. The first guests in the studio were actors Aron Piper and Fernando Valdivielso. They joined the program to present their new joint project—the film ‘Перемирие,’ made with the participation of RTVE. The premiere is scheduled for October 10. The movie tells the story of Spanish prisoners in a Soviet camp after World War II. Former opponents from the Civil War are forced to put aside their differences to survive together.

With a smile, the host recalled that during filming in the Basque Country, he was given a bucket of mud as a souvenir, a reminder of the extreme conditions faced by the actors. However, the conversation quickly shifted to more everyday topics. Piper shared that after several years of success in film and music, he was finally able to buy his own home in Madrid. He described this achievement as “almost impossible” for modern Spanish youth. His colleague Valdivielso, meanwhile, admitted that he hasn’t been as lucky yet and can only dream of having his own apartment.

However, the evening’s most amusing and talked-about moment was an episode linked to Aron Piper’s previous appearance on the show. Broncano couldn’t resist recalling his old joke, when he pronounced the actor’s surname as “Pipa” with a mock German accent. “I did it again, my apologies. Last time I said it like that and just lost it,” the host admitted, laughing. The story didn’t end there. Broncano asked Piper whether anyone around him had picked up on the joke. The actor clarified that people still pronounce his name correctly on the street. The situation peaked when the host, having learned that there was supposedly an audience member from Germany in the studio, asked him to confirm the correct pronunciation. The man, with a sense of humor, revealed that he was actually Mexican, though he had lived in Munich for ten years. The final twist came from his companion, who declared she was from Zaragoza, sparking laughter throughout the studio.

As tradition goes, guests do not come to La revuelta empty-handed. Aron Piper and Fernando Valdivielso decided to surprise the host with a rather original gift—a piece of the film’s set. “Smell it,” they joked. “It smells like dirt,” Broncaño remarked. The actors explained that they had filmed the entire shoot in the mud in Vitoria. “This is Basque soil, it holds more power,” they added. Along with a jar of earth, they also presented a piece of costume used in the film, and a sign in Russian reading “don’t spit on the floor.” Filming took place in the municipality of Dima in the province of Biscay, where a large-scale set of a Soviet labor camp was built, covering over 4,000 square meters.

After the conversation with the actors, the baton in the studio was picked up by Argentine singer Lali Esposito. The artist, known for her vibrant personality and successful dual career in music and acting, joined the program. Her appearance injected fresh energy into the second half of the episode, filling it with new conversation topics and Broncaño’s signature humor. The eventful week on the show will continue with a visit from one of Spain’s most beloved performers, Antonio Orozco. The week will wrap up with actors Blanca Suárez and Eduardo Noriega, along with the popular band Love of Lesbian.
