The MotoGP sprint race at the Mandalika circuit in Indonesia once again surprised fans. Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi finished first, despite a poor start and being forced to fight for positions from the very beginning.
Fermín Aldeguer came in second, having held the lead for a long time and coming close to his first victory of the season. However, in the final laps, Bezzecchi managed a decisive overtake, earning the maximum points in Saturday’s race.
Third place went to Raúl Fernández, giving Aprilia two riders on the podium. This result became one of the team’s best in the current championship and strengthened Aprilia’s position in the team standings.
For Marc Márquez, this round proved to be the most disappointing of the season. After an incident with Álex Rins on the first lap, he had to serve a long-lap penalty, dropping him to 13th place. Despite this, the Spaniard was able to recover several positions and finished the race in seventh.
Pecco Bagnaia, who started from 16th place, was unable to challenge the leaders and finished only fourteenth. His gap to his championship rivals increased, and problems with the Ducati bike prevented him from showing his usual pace.
The race was marked by intense battles, especially between Bezzecchi and Aldeguer. Over 13 laps, spectators witnessed constant leader changes and tactical maneuvers. The Italian rider capitalized on his rival’s mistake on the final lap to snatch victory.
Pedro Acosta’s fall cost him a podium finish, while Raúl Fernández took advantage of the situation to secure third place. For Aprilia, this round became one of the most successful of the season.
The Indonesian Grand Prix once again lived up to its reputation as an unpredictable MotoGP round. The sprint results significantly affected the championship standings, intensifying the battle for third place.
The main race of the weekend will take place on Sunday morning, Spanish time. Organizers are expecting another intense battle and more surprises at the Mandalika circuit.
