Technologies for Modern Content Creators
As live broadcasts and podcasts become part of everyday life, sound quality is taking on new importance. Even minor interference can ruin the impression of carefully prepared content. Elgato, known for its home studio solutions, continues to expand its ecosystem of devices, making professional-grade audio accessible to a wide audience. The company has announced two new products that combine mechanical precision and artificial intelligence: the Wave Mic Arm MK.2 and Voice Focus.
Wave Mic Arm MK.2: a New Approach to Ergonomics
The second version of the popular microphone arm features a completely redesigned construction. The focus is on stability, smooth movement, and ease of use. Its sturdy body allows for 360-degree rotation, making it easy to position the microphone. Internal cable routing with a magnetic system keeps your workspace tidy and prevents accidental snags. The universal mount is compatible with most microphones and cameras, including heavy professional models.
A key feature is the optimized balance: the holder can support up to 2.5 kilograms, making it particularly suitable for heavy microphones with suspension mounts. The new attachment mechanism allows you to rotate the device silently, which is crucial for live broadcasts and recording. The improved locking system securely fixes the holder to desks of various thicknesses and prevents wear over time.
Voice Focus: Artificial Intelligence for Clear Sound
The second new product is the Voice Focus audio plugin, developed in collaboration with the German company ai|coustics. This tool is designed to remove background noise, echo, and vibrations without distorting the natural sound of the voice. Artificial intelligence algorithms, trained on a large number of real recordings, accurately isolate speech and eliminate unwanted noises. Unlike traditional filters, Voice Focus analyzes context and dynamically adapts to the audio source.
The plugin is available in VST3 and AU formats, ensuring compatibility with major audio software such as Cubase, Logic Pro, Reaper, and Pro Tools. The solution is suitable not only for musicians but also for video bloggers, streamers, and professionals using OBS or Zoom. The simple interface allows real-time application of filters, even during live broadcasts. Initial tests have shown significant noise reduction without noticeable distortion, which previously was only possible with specialized equipment.
Integration of Hardware and Digital Solutions
With the launch of new devices, Elgato continues to integrate physical and software tools into a unified system. The company’s lineup already includes microphones, capture cards, control panels, and lighting equipment. Now, products with artificial intelligence features are being added, enabling users to manage their acoustic environment at a professional level. The home studio is becoming increasingly functional and accessible.
Elgato focuses not only on power, but also on integration. The Wave Mic Arm MK.2 and Voice Focus don’t reinvent established approaches—they refine them, eliminating unnecessary complications and noise in the workflow. In an era where artificial intelligence is actively entering digital production, the company strikes a balance between technological precision and ease of use.
