Pre-orders have begun in Spain for the second generation of the popular Volkswagen T-Roc crossover, now featuring hybrid technology. The official market launch is scheduled for November 2025, with the base version priced from €30,845.
The new generation T-Roc has been developed from scratch and offers two mild-hybrid options with a 48-volt system, powered by a 1.5 eTSI petrol engine with 116 and 150 horsepower. Later, the range will be joined by a 4Motion all-wheel drive version paired with a two-liter TSI engine, which will also be available in a hybrid configuration. In addition, the manufacturer has confirmed the launch of a sporty T-Roc R variant with increased power.
All hybrid versions come equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Production is based at the factory in Portugal (Palmela), and the car is designed for family trips and long journeys. The new generation offers increased space for rear passengers—an additional 12 centimeters have been added to ensure greater comfort for taller passengers. The luggage compartment has also grown, now offering up to 475 liters when loaded to the level of the rear seatbacks.
A key change is the new trim structure. Buyers can now choose from four options: the basic T-Roc, focused on practicality and affordability; the upgraded Life with an emphasis on comfort; as well as the more advanced Style and the sporty R-Line, both featuring enhanced design and additional technology. There are six exterior paint options, including classic white and grey, as well as new shades of yellow, red, blue, and black metallic.
The car’s exterior has become more expressive and modern. While retaining the recognizable features of the T-Roc, the new version gets updated lighting and LED elements. Top-tier models offer IQ.LIGHT matrix headlights and a luminous strip connecting the headlights to the brand logo. At the rear, there’s now an LED strip with a red-lit Volkswagen emblem.
The interior features a new dashboard finish and thoughtful ambient lighting, creating a lounge-like atmosphere. Among the technological innovations is an optional head-up display that projects key information onto the windshield in front of the driver. The model is built on the latest version of the group’s modular platform, enabling the integration of advanced driver assistance systems such as Travel Assist and Park Assist Pro. The latter allows for automatic parking over distances of up to 50 meters.
With the launch of the new T-Roc, Volkswagen continues updating its SUV lineup, following the Tiguan and Tayron models. The new vehicle combines advanced technology, improved ergonomics, and expanded personalization options, making it an appealing choice for Spanish families and car enthusiasts who value comfort and innovation.
