Since its debut on the Spanish market in 2003, the Renault Scenic II has become a standout among compact family cars. This model continued the legacy of the first generation and opened a new chapter in the French brand’s history.
The first cars in the series began rolling off the assembly line in 1996 at factories in France and Brazil. It was at that time that the Scenic became a pioneer in the C-class compact minivan segment, with its concept receiving prestigious awards for innovation.
The second generation, launched in 2003, offered two body options: the standard five-seater and the extended seven-seater Grand Scenic. Both versions featured distinct rear-end designs and were recognized as the best minivans in Europe at the time.
In 2009, the third version of the model debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. It retained both interior layouts and was based on the Megane III platform. The success was so notable that sales expanded beyond Spain to France, China, and Brazil.
The fourth generation, unveiled in 2016, had an exterior reminiscent of crossovers and looked similar to Renault Espace V. Highlights included a panoramic roof and 20-inch wheels, underscoring a modern approach to comfort and style.
The fifth and current version was officially presented in September 2023 at the Munich Motor Show. The Scenic E-Tech became fully electric, received an SUV body, and offers a range of up to 625 kilometers, meeting current standards for eco-friendliness and autonomy.
The price of used cars in this series in Spain depends on the generation. The first generation goes for €1,200–2,500, the second for €2,000–3,000. The third generation is valued at €3,500–6,000, and the fourth at €6,000–10,000. The latest Scenic E-Tech sells for €20,000–22,000 on the secondary market, while a new one starts at €26,000.
