AESAN has warned of glass fragments in EROSKI Salsa Ricotta from Italy. The alert identifies lot LA310CRI01, with an expiry date of 06/11/2028, and advises consumers not to eat it.
The affected jar weighs 350 g and is intended for storage at room temperature. AESAN says it contains glass fragments and has advised people who have it at home not to consume it. Ingesting glass can cause cuts or other injuries.
The product is Salsa Ricotta from EROSKI, imported from Italy and manufactured by GUSTIBUS ALIMENTARI S.R.L. UNIPERSONAL. The alert applies to lot LA310CRI01, with a stated expiry date of 06/11/2028. The packaging is a glass jar. The warning concerns this specific lot, not the entire EROSKI ricotta-sauce range.
AESAN received the notification from the health authorities of the Comunidad Foral de Navarra through the Coordinated System for Rapid Information Exchange (SCIRI). The agency reported the alert on 23 October 2026 and passed the information to the competent authorities in Spain’s autonomous communities so they could check that the affected product was removed from commercial channels. EROSKI had reportedly withdrawn the lot from sale on 16 October.
Consumers with a jar matching the lot and expiry date should not eat it and can return it to any EROSKI store for a refund. The advice is specific to the identified batch.
RUSSPAIN has also reported on agricultural risks in its coverage of insured crop damage in the Comunidad Valenciana and Región de Murcia. The current alert concerns a specific packaged food product, and AESAN’s advice is clear: anyone with the identified lot at home should not eat it.
