Pilar Alegría accused the PP of borrowing the look of a Pedro Sánchez government campaign image. Aragón’s PP replied that blue is its corporate colour and Spain’s flag belongs to everyone. The exchange also drew criticism on X.

The two campaign designs share a blue-toned background and white lettering. Both also feature Spain’s flag. On 6 November, Pilar Alegría, PSOE Aragón’s leader, said the PP had copied an image Pedro Sánchez used at Moncloa events under the slogan «Acción de Gobierno». Her criticism came as the PP unveiled its general-election artwork for Alberto Núñez Feijóo, with white lettering on a blue background and a Spanish flag beneath the slogan «El cambio necesario».

The PP chose the design to present Feijóo’s campaign for the 29 November general election. Its Aragón branch, led by Jorge Azcón, replied that blue is the party’s corporate colour and the national flag belongs to everyone. The account used irony to challenge Alegría’s accusation. She, in turn, wrote on X that the PP was asking for change with a “bad copy.” The design dispute was part of the campaign launch; the PP’s programme was scheduled for presentation on 10 November.

Alegría then referred to Feijóo’s remark that he was not prime minister because he did not want to be. The PP in Aragón responded by invoking Sánchez’s pledge never to pact with Bildu and accusing him of breaking that promise. The exchange shifted from campaign design to the governing party’s political agreements. The PP planned to open its campaign in Badalona on 12 November, with Feijóo and Xavier García Albiol; the formal campaign was due to begin on 13 November. Further announced events were scheduled for Santiago de Compostela on 14 November and Valencia on 21 November.

The row comes alongside other PP campaign activity covered in an earlier Valencia campaign report. The PP’s broader campaign message centred on political change and what it described as the record of Sánchez’s government. It cited alleged corruption and the power outage, as well as Ceuta and the absence of national budgets during the legislature. On X, users also challenged Alegría’s argument, pointing to the PP’s use of blue and saying the Spanish flag belongs to all Spaniards.
