ASUS presented the Zenbook 14 in Madrid with a starting price of 799 euros. The Snapdragon X laptop weighs 1.1 kilos and brings Copilot+ features to a direct Apple rival.

At the Madrid launch, the Snapdragon X version came with 512 GB of storage and up to 16 GB of RAM. The laptop weighs 1.1 kilos. Its price starts at 799 euros.

ASUS is focusing on portability, battery life, and built-in artificial intelligence. The company showed the device at an event in central Madrid. It described the Zenbook 14 as a laptop for work, creativity, and entertainment.

Помимо Cocreator и Recall, экосистема Copilot+ для этого класса устройств включает Live Captions и Windows Studio Effects — функции, рассчитанные на обработку задач непосредственно на совместимом ПК.

The Snapdragon X model keeps the memory options to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. ASUS says that choice helps keep the price low while leaving room for its design and user experience work.

The trade-off is clear. The Zenbook 14 targets portability and cost rather than the highest possible specifications.

Its Ceraluminum chassis is designed to stay light and resist damage. ASUS says the battery can last more than 21 hours. That figure covers work, content creation, video, and long periods of connectivity.

Three finishes are available: Komodo Coral, Arctic Blue, and Zabriskie Beige. Their surfaces are designed to resist scratches and fingerprints. Reviews from MuyComputer and other technology publications confirm the 1.1-kilo weight. They describe the Snapdragon X version as the more accessible model in the range.

Заявления об автономности зависят от сценария измерений: наряду с показателем более 21 часа для работы встречается оценка свыше 30 часов при воспроизведении видео. Эти цифры нельзя напрямую сравнивать без учёта методики тестирования.

AI sits at the centre of the laptop's pitch. Its neural processing unit reaches 45 trillion operations per second. It works with Copilot+ tools such as Cocreator, Recall, and Copilot.

ASUS presents those functions as tools for everyday work, not as a separate technical showcase. The hardware includes the eight-core Snapdragon X X1-26-100 and a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. Independent product reviews and listings identify those components as the basis of the laptop's Copilot+ setup.

The 14-inch OLED display is listed with FullHD resolution. Wider specifications also refer to OLED panels reaching up to 4K and using a 16:6 format.

The equipment includes two speakers, two microphones, and FullHD infrared cameras for video calls. A large touchpad sits above the ports. USB-A 3.2 is on the right. The left side has HDMI 2.1, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and a headphone jack.

Buyers can choose Intel, Ryzen, or Snapdragon X processors, depending on the configuration. The 799-euro entry price applies to the Snapdragon X model with 512 GB of storage and up to 16 GB of RAM.

That puts the Zenbook 14 in the same conversation as Apple's MacBook Neo. The two laptops are not identical. European listings show that prices vary by market and configuration. Some versions are advertised at 899.99 euros rather than 799.99 euros.

Adrià Pascual, ASUS's SYS Country Head, spoke at the Madrid presentation. He said the challenge now goes beyond raw performance. Portable computers also need to handle professional work, creative tasks, and leisure.

ASUS has more than 17,000 employees. The company says 5,500 work as engineers in research and development, while more than 1,000 specialists focus on artificial intelligence.

In Spain, ASUS reports a 41% increase in revenue and a 57% rise in net profit. The company also retains its position as the number one brand in components, gaming ecosystems, and OLED monitors.

Regional ASUS materials call the Zenbook 14 a universal ultraportable for work, creativity, and entertainment. They also list Intel, AMD Ryzen, and Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms.

The figures add weight to the launch. ASUS is using its Spanish growth and hardware expertise to put AI into a portable computer priced below 800 euros.

The result should appeal to buyers who value low weight and long battery life more than maximum memory. Based on the available information, the Zenbook 14 is a serious MacBook Neo rival. Its case has a clear design identity, its entry price is competitive, and its AI hardware does more than pad the specification sheet.
