A single button turns the Beauer X8 from a modest trailer into a 30-square-meter home. This telescopic caravan offers two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and space for eight, redefining what’s possible for road travel in Europe.
In travel mode, the Beauer X8 looks like a streamlined trailer behind your car. Park it, press a button, and within a minute it unfolds into a living space the size of a city apartment—two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and enough room for eight people. The X8’s telescopic design is a direct response to the cramped interiors that most European caravans offer.
The X8 uses a patented telescopic system: three modules nest inside each other for towing, keeping the length at 6.65 meters and the width just over two meters. Once parked, electric cylinders extend the side modules, expanding the interior to more than 30 square meters and nearly five meters wide. The process is fully automatic and controlled by a single button at the rear. The X8 was officially unveiled at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026, where it was presented as Beauer’s largest model so far.

Inside, all the furniture is built into the telescopic mechanism. Beds, sofas, and storage units collapse and expand along with the shell, so there’s no need to rearrange anything by hand. The layout includes two separate bedrooms with 160 x 200 cm double beds, a lounge that converts to extra sleeping space, and a dining area for eight. Industry sources confirm the X8 can sleep up to eight people with its two bedrooms and two sofa beds.
The kitchen is fully equipped: a 190-liter fridge, sink, cooktop, and plenty of storage come standard, with options for an oven, microwave, or dishwasher. The bathroom has a real shower cabin, cassette toilet, and space for a washing machine—features that bring the X8 closer to a small apartment than a typical caravan.
On the technical side, the X8 is built on a double-axle AL-KO chassis and comes with a 150 Ah lithium battery (expandable to 200 Ah). Buyers can add up to four 100 W flexible solar panels. Air conditioning, heating, an awning, bike rack, and maneuvering aids are all available as options, so owners can tailor the caravan to their needs.
Despite its impressive features, the fully equipped Beauer X8 weighs around 2,600 kg, with a maximum permissible mass of 2,700 kg—leaving only about 100 kg for payload. This means owners must carefully consider their packing and towing vehicle.
