Marbella’s sold-out Corrida de Candiles goes live on Canal Sur this Friday, 7 August. The event is scheduled to begin at 21:30. Enrique Romero and Ruiz Miguel will provide commentary from the arena, with Noelia López also on the team.
Morante de la Puebla and José María Manzanares headline the bill, with Aarón Palacio also appearing. The three matadors are set to face bulls from the Cayetano Muñoz ranch.
The Corrida de Candiles takes place at night, with lanterns or oil lamps lighting the ring instead of ordinary daytime lighting. That distinctive setting is basic to the event’s appeal and gives the corrida its name.
The live broadcast will bring the spectacle to viewers who cannot attend in person. It will carry the action in the ring and the atmosphere of the lantern-lit venue to audiences across Andalusia.
Bullfighting remains a subject of debate in Spain, while events such as the Corrida de Candiles remain part of Marbella’s summer calendar. Its nighttime format distinguishes it from a conventional daytime corrida.
