The 2026 Sorteo de Oro de Cruz Roja awarded its largest-ever top prize, €3 million, to the holder of ticket number 42.022, series 017. The winning ticket was sold in Lugo, while the draw took place in Granada. This year’s draw distributed more than 23,400 prizes, twice as many as in the previous edition, and paid out more than €7 million in total.
The second prize of €1 million went to ticket 13.959, series 036. Ticket 25.121, series 057, won the third prize of €500,000. Three fourth prizes of €250,000 each went to tickets 40.693 (series 128), 67.731 (series 120) and 97.573 (series 006). The three fifth prizes of €100,000 each were awarded to tickets 95.498 (series 027), 48.352 (series 001) and 08.370 (series 074).
Thousands of smaller prizes went to tickets matching winning numbers in different series or sharing the last four digits. For the first time, tickets whose last three digits matched the top prize, 022, also received a €12 payout under the 2026 prize structure. All winning numbers and the official rules are available on the Cruz Roja website.
Now in its 47th year, the Sorteo de Oro de Cruz Roja helps fund the organization’s work. Each ticket costs €6 and supports Cruz Roja’s humanitarian efforts across Spain, from emergency response to daily social support. Funds raised go toward environmental crises, poverty and gender violence, as well as educational support for children and employment assistance for vulnerable groups. The proceeds help maintain and expand these initiatives.
Winners can claim prizes in cash at any computerized Correos office nationwide, or in cash or gold at Cruz Roja offices. Prizes cannot be combined and must be claimed within 90 days of the draw date. The official value of gold is set by the London market closing price on July 22, 2026. The Sorteo de Oro is one of Spain’s best-known charity lotteries, offering impressive prizes while supporting social causes.
The organization’s wider social work also receives public funding. On October 20, 2026, Spain’s Council of Ministers recorded a separate grant of €209,018.49 to Cruz Roja Española for work in Ceuta to prevent and detect sexual violence, sexual exploitation and trafficking affecting migrant women, adolescents and girls. The funding is intended to support accompaniment and comprehensive care, and to fund participation in a multidisciplinary unit. This is a separate government grant, not identified as proceeds from the Sorteo de Oro.
Spain has a long tradition of charity lotteries, and Cruz Roja’s Sorteo de Oro stands out for its scale. The annual event offers large prizes and channels millions of euros into projects serving communities across the country. The 2026 edition’s expanded prize pool and new payout rules reflect the lottery’s continued evolution, with the aim of increasing participation and extending Cruz Roja’s support. As in previous years, the organizers emphasize transparency and accessibility, publishing results and procedures for public review.
