The affected apartment's tenant, who was asleep when the fire broke out, was among those rescued and later taken to Ramón y Cajal Hospital. Two other residents were admitted to La Paz Hospital for observation due to the amount of smoke inhaled.
In total, seven fire crews and two command units were deployed to control the situation. Local police, Guardia Civil, Policía Nacional, and Protección Civil from Tres Cantos also assisted in the emergency response. According to emergency services, none of the eight people treated suffered life-threatening injuries, but the three hospitalized were considered potentially serious cases due to the volume of smoke inhaled.
