Fifteen Global lines will be diverted in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 17:00 to 23:59 on 7 November for the Binter NightRun. Participants can travel free with their race bib until 01:00 on 8 November.

Passengers heading to or from Santa Catalina should use the Juan XXIII stop instead: buses will not be able to enter the station during the closure. The diversion is scheduled, provisionally, for 7 November from 17:00 to 23:59 for the Binter NightRun Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, now in its 13th edition and serving as the circuit’s closing race. The programme includes a 10 km race, plus shorter races of 5 km and 1.6 km.

Participants can travel free on Global services by showing their race bib. The offer runs from 17:00 on 7 November until 01:00 on 8 November. Separately, Las Palmas City Council and Guaguas Municipales have announced free travel on municipal buses for race participants and volunteers from 17:00 to midnight. A race bib is required. The event date follows Spain’s autumn clock change, discussed in an earlier sleep report.

Organizers expect around 6,700 runners, with more than 20% registered from outside Gran Canaria, Canarias7 reported on 5 November. The city council has announced progressive traffic restrictions from 17:00 on race day. They will affect sections of Bernardo de la Torre, Luis Morote, Tomás Miller, General Vives, Juan Manuel Durán González, Olof Palme, República Dominicana, Mesa y López and Galicia, as well as areas around the Naval Base and Santa Catalina. Restrictions are scheduled to ease progressively, with affected roads expected to be clear at around 23:00.

Lines 08, 30, 60, 80, 91 and 327 will terminate at Juan XXIII when travelling from the south towards Las Palmas, after serving San Telmo and C/ Luis Doreste Silva. In the opposite direction, they will leave Plaza de La Feria, continue via C/ Luis Doreste Silva and Av. Juan XXIII, then use Av. Alcalde José Ramírez Bethencourt before rejoining their usual route.

Northbound services on lines 105, 116, 117, 204, 206, 210 and 234 will divert via C/ Castillejos, C/ Costa Rica, Av. José Mesa y López and C/ Mario César. After turning at Rotonda Mario César, they will change direction at Rotonda del Negrín, take Túnel Julio Luengo and Av. León y Castillo, then rejoin their regular route. Southbound services will reach Juan XXIII before taking Túnel Julio Luengo, Circunvalación GC-2 and Ctra. del Rincón. After turning at Rotonda Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, they will arrive at C.C. Las Arenas.

During the closure, there will be no service in either direction between Alcaravaneras and C.C. Las Arenas, or between Mesa y López and the Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas. Lines 233 and 319 will also follow an altered route: northbound buses will pass Centro de Salud Alcaravaneras and C/ Olof Palme before turning via the internal road of the logistics interchange on C/ Concepción Arenales. Southbound buses will leave the interchange via C/ Néstor de la Torre, C/ Presidente Alvear and C/ León y Castillo, then follow the GC-2 and Ctra. del Rincón to C.C. Las Arenas.

Stops taken out of service are Estación de Santa Catalina (30000), C/ Juan Manuel Durán (175061), Alcaravaneras (315001-2), Centro de Salud de Alcaravaneras (175031-2), Avda. Mesa y López (175033), La Fosforera (175021-2) and Plaza del Pilar (17011). Alternative stops are Juan XXIII (175062), C.C. Las Arenas (175001) and Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de G.C. (175052).
