Telecinco launches 'El verano se mueve', a new daily program mixing news, entertainment and social commentary. Laura Madrueño joins the team after her break from television. The show aims to boost the channel’s afternoon audience.

Telecinco is betting on a new daily program, 'El verano se mueve', to reverse its recent audience slump. The show, airing weekdays at 17:00, combines current affairs, entertainment and social chronicles, and marks the return of Laura Madrueño to Spanish television after her absence following 'Supervivientes All Stars 2025'.

The format is structured to air from Mediaset España’s central studios from Monday to Thursday, while Fridays will see the team broadcasting from different locations across Spain. Presenter Ion Aramendi and his collaborators will travel each week, with Kike Quintana—known as Ana Rosa Quintana’s nephew—serving as the program’s special correspondent. He will tour the country in a van, helping to select the Friday broadcast location and involving local residents in the process.

Alongside Aramendi and Quintana, the show features a team of reporters and regular contributors, including Carmen Alcayde, Sheila Casas and Laura Madrueño. Madrueño’s participation is notable, as she had not appeared on screen since leaving 'Supervivientes' after the 2025 All Stars edition. The program also brings together familiar faces from Telecinco’s social commentary circuit, such as María Eugenia Yagüe, Alejandra Prat, Irene Rosales, Diego Reinares, Luis Pliego, Gloria Camila, Marta López, Pelayo Díaz and Belén Rodríguez.

'El verano se mueve' will cover a broad range of lifestyle topics, from celebrity news and health to luxury, fashion, decoration and daily living. A weekly segment will see Ion Aramendi joined by his wife, journalist María Amores, to discuss different perspectives on everyday or current issues.

Telecinco’s move comes as part of a wider strategy to refresh its programming and attract viewers in a competitive afternoon slot. The channel has faced declining ratings in recent months, prompting a series of new launches. 'El verano se mueve' replaces 'El tiempo justo' and follows 'Amor... o lo que surja' in the schedule. The show’s mix of studio and on-location broadcasts aims to engage audiences with both national coverage and local flavor.

For context, Spanish television networks often adjust their summer programming to capture shifting viewer habits, with live broadcasts and interactive segments proving popular. Telecinco’s decision to involve local communities and rotate locations on Fridays reflects a broader trend toward audience participation and regional diversity in national media. The return of well-known personalities like Laura Madrueño is also seen as a way to reconnect with established fan bases and strengthen the channel’s brand identity.
